Where does my memoir go from here?

To date I have written a total of 25 pieces of my memoir Make-up Tips from Auschwitz. How Vanity Saved My Mother’s Life. As you know, I have posted them every weekday on Facebook and/or on www.talkradiotommy.com

After close to two months on this project, I remain overwhelmed and amazed at your encouraging reaction. Many of you tell me you are addicted to your daily memoir fix. Let me assure you that such comments are very gratifying for any author to hear.

STATS: My website was only launched last month and thanks to you, it has logged close to 5000 sessions with nearly 14,000 page views. .

Some 43% of you are checking out the site via mobile device versus 29% on desktop and 28% on tablet. Of those visiting the site, 53% are new while 47% are returning.

I am thrilled to see the pieces of the memoir getting international exposure as many of you are sharing the pieces with your friends and relatives abroad. That is very much appreciated so thank you.

Thanks to the people reading pieces of my memoir, my calendar is starting to fill up as several organizations have already invited me for speaking engagements and readings this fall. I do hope to meet you in person at these events which I will soon list on an upcoming events calendar to be posted here soon.

I am speaking with a well known Montreal theatre director about the possibility of turning the memoir into a one man show. I look forward to sharing all the specific details with you as soon as they become available.

You have my assurance that I will continue to write the daily every weekday for at least another week.

What will happen after that remains an open question.  Many of you have said you enjoy reading the pieces but would prefer to have them as a printed book. Others have suggested I should record all the pieces as an audiobook.

Quite a few of you have told me in no uncertain terms that I am an absolute fool for giving it all away. You have suggested I give serious consideration to Patreon, a membership platform that makes it easy for writers and other creative artists to get paid.

All this, of course, is still in the exploratory stages.

My task this coming week will involve freshening up my website and writing piece #26 which will cover the ice storm, a phrase my Mom heard a dozen years that she simply cannot forget and why the best pharmaceutical advice I ever got came from the Golden Girls.

If you have any questions or comments I would love to hear from you.
